I just started getting Six Feet Under from Netflix. It's pretty funny and a touch on the dark side (the family owns and operates a funeral parlor). It's really starting to grow on me...I would definitely recommend it.
I love HBO series; they have yet to do me wrong.
I am a big fan of watching shows that are on DVD rather than weekly on television. I don't have the patience to wait week to week, I'd rather watch them one after another.

You need to watch Hotel Babylon. It is a BBC show and I love it. I have the second season, if you want to borrow it. So good, I think you would like it too.
I love Six Feet Under, I did the same thing as you and rented them. I totally agree that netflix (or blockbuster online in my case) is the way to go, I hate waiting a week to see the next episode.
Have you watched Dexter? That and Big Love are two more that I love!
