Napoleon is back!

Either you loved the movie or you hated it. I thought it was hilarious and will definitely be setting the DVR for my Napoleon fix this Fall.

I am honestly excited about this. Really.

Winner

There was no competition. This was the best commercial of the Superbowl.

Am I right or what?!

Laughs

Saturday we went and saw Nick Cannon's comedy show at The Parlor.
I wasn't expecting much...I thought he was known for being a kinda-sorta actor, not a comic.
Turns out I was SO wrong. He started out as a comic and it was easily one of the funniest shows we'd been to in a long time.
We realized how important it is to have a real good laugh so we signed on to see the next comic they are hosting as well...Ralphie May!! Can't wait!

My boys

I walked downstairs and saw them watching TV just like this.
Jackson likes to kick back and watch TV too, I guess. He isn't very modest though...we'll have to work on that.

Handsome

I know that this video is on the long side, but it's absolutely, positively, definitely worth watching. Promise.

You can thank me later.

Snuggie who?

Move on over Snuggie, you're yesterday's news.
The UniLazy is what's happening now!

Yes, it took me a long time, but I finally became a believer in the Snuggie. Now that I've seen the UniLazy, I won't make the same time-wasting mistake again.

I will take one.
In every color.

I definitely draw the line with The Drop though...sew that zipper up!!
Hmm...I wonder if they make them for pets?? ☺

Spoiler, sort of

Sorry for those of you who haven't seen Avatar yet. Maybe stop reading now...

For all of you who have seen Avatar, or just don't care about spoilers, you HAVE to click on and read the image below...it's hilarious!

and it gets even better

Lindsay just texted (or is it just 'text'??) me this picture and it made me laugh.
I forwarded it onto Rob, but then realized that he won't take it as a joke...he'll probably pick one up on the way home from work tonight.
Then we'd be a big ol' happy Snuggie family...we just need one for Sox now.
Doesn't that sound like a great picture for our Christmas card next year!?! Oh, and did you catch my sarcasm there? ☺

Laughing until I cried

Nie Nie Dialogues is one of the many blogs that has found it's way into my Google Reader over the years.

As I was catching up on my blog reading this afternoon I read one of her posts from yesterday she's written about her daughter and it had me laughing out loud in my office. And no, not a 'ha, ha' kind of chuckle...a roaring bout of laughter...tears and all.

Give it a read here...it may gross you out a bit (or a lot), but it's still stinkin' funny!

Hooked

I’ve been doing the sick thing for the past week. A week of being sick, sounds crappy, right? Wrong. Believe it or not, it has actually almost been enjoyable. Not the sick part, but the staying home from work and watching Ugly Betty part.

I discovered Ugly Betty on day one of being sick and now it’s my new favorite show. I’ve been watching the DVDs so much I have started dreaming about being on the show. Sounds like I ought to cut it out, I know, but it’s so funny, I just can't stay away!

Now that I am back at work I just think that my job is boring compared to all the zaniness that is Betty's job. Sounds like I am jealous, which maybe I am just a little bit.

PRIDE

This weekend we made our way downtown to join in on the Seattle Pride 09 festivities. We caught the parade, grabbed some lunch and wound our way through all the stands set up at the Seattle Center.
The parade wasn't your typical kind of parade, but don't worry...no pictures that aren't G rated! :)

These was a group of local librarians. They had a whole dance routine they did with their book carts. It was really cute!

The mayor and his wife
Hairspray!

This was early in the day. It was completely packed, and then some by 2:00.
It was a great day to be outside and downtown. Sun was shining, but not too hot and plenty of opportunities for people watching. A definite must do for any one in Seattle.

Proposal is in order

Saw The Proposal and loved it!

I don't know that I will ever hear the songs Relax or Get Low again without thinking of this movie and dissolving into laughter.

Haven't seen it yet? Definitely go. Yes, it's a chick flick, but it's still got some funny parts for the guys and gals.
Plus, I just love Sandra Bullock!

Zack is back

This video made me laugh...Mark Paul Gosselaar as Zack Morris on Jimmy Fallon. Reminds me of the good ol' days of Saved by the Bell!

He doesn't look like he's aged a bit...or very much, at least. I used to ♥ Saved by the Bell!

I am so jealous of Utah

MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice

One show only. It only makes sense that the show be in Utah, right?

Don't you all run out to buy tickets at once...

I never should have moved away!

Thanks for the heads up Trav; funniest thing ever. :)

Who is the crazy one here?

I just stopped by the bank on my lunch hour. One of the sales employees was trying to convince me to switch to another account that they were running a special on. I was not biting. At the end of her schpill (sp?) she said 'You'd have to be crazy not to switch over!' Me, crazy? Mind you, she was wearing a reindeer antler headband that had blinking yellow lights with bells on the ends. And I am the crazy one?!? I mean, this isn't some preschool center where you wear this kind of attire to amuse the kids...this is a financial institution! Did her coworkers/boss not see the problem with this?!? I had the hardest time keeping a straight face as she talked to me. I about died when she got up to walk to another desk and jingled all the way. Perhaps I am more Scrooge-like than I thought??

Mix these two together and add some jingle bells and there you have it!

As I searched online for a picture to share with you all, I couldn't find anything that resembled hers. I SO wanted to snap a picture of her with my phone, but I would like to argue that I have more class than that. I think the real reason is that if I were caught I would be embarrassed and forced never to visit that establishment again. That would be a pain! Hence, no picture. Thinking back, I still think that I should have taken one!

Who knew Portland was so funny?!

I have just hit on to the funniest blog Overheard in PDX. I subscribed to it in Google Reader and have been reading them for the past half hour...it's hilarious. Check it out!
***DISCLAIMER***
After some further reading I realized that some of the comments are of the PG-13, borderline R nature.

Melanie

My very amazing sister-in-law Melanie is celebrating a birthday today (the 25th. I started the post last night so that date reads the 24...oops!). Melanie is such a riot! I always have so much fun with her. It is such a bummer that we live so far away from each other. As I was searching for a picture of Mel to use, I had so many fun ones to choose from - she isn't one of those people who is shy in front of the camera...it's great! The pictures I chose have great memories associated with them. The first one is a picture of Melanie on her first trip to visit us up in Seattle. We were messing around in the Seattle Aquarium gift shop and she modeled a few 'hats' for us (me and Mom). Gosh, I am giggling just looking at this picture...she always makes me laugh!! :)
This one is my favorite! You know those colored malt Easter egg candies? We were licking them and then using them as lipsticks...I think that this is a pretty common practice, right? I always did it growing up. Well, Melanie picked one that matched her outfit, applied it and then cheesed it up for a picture. Now, tell me that doesn't sound like someone who is a fun Mom!

These pictures really capture the Melanie that I love. She is so sweet, fun, caring and up for anything...even bowling the day before she has a baby (with no complaints at all...in fact, it was probably her idea to go in the first place).

Mel, I am so glad that you are a part of our family; I couldn't have asked for a better sister. I could talk and laugh with you for hours about nothing...I really miss you!! Cannot wait for you to come visit us next month! Happy Birthday!!!

The hammer

I just had the oddest phone conversation with Rob. Take from it what you wish...I am still deciphering it.

Me: Hi. Do you know where the hammer is?
Him: The hammer, why?
Me: I am going to hang up all of the pictures that are leaning against our walls. You know, the ones you have been bugging me about. (Yes, we moved in months ago and I still haven't decorated...another story all together. Maybe tomorrow?)
Him: Oh, good!
Me: So, do you know where the hammer is?
Him: Um, yeah I think so.
Me: Where?
Him: It's under our bed.
Me: Under our bed?
Him: Yeah, under our bed. It's on my side of the bed up towards the headboard. Right under where my head would be.
Me: That's a weird place for it. Why is it there?
Him: Because that is where I put it.
Me: Um, okay...thanks, bye.
Him: Bye

Keep in mind that he hasn't hung anything up in our bedroom. Why the need for the hammer? Yeah, that's what I want to know. Just incase he needs to bop me in the middle of the night if my snoring gets out of control? Yeah, yeah so lame. You have to admit, that is a weird place to store a hammer, especially on purpose. Like that is where it should go or something? I don't get it...all of the rest of the tools are in the garage.

I bet it is his back-up to ward off any middle of the night intruders. Yeah, that sounds a lot better! He is just trying to protect us. :) I still think it's funny though...love you Rob!!!
