An ugly cloud of sickness has been hanging over our home for months. Seriously, since mid-October Rob, I or both of us have been under the weather (which translates to being whiny and absolutely no fun), thus not one single thing worth blogging about has happened. I’ve decided that we’re both going to be feeling better by the time 2011 rolls around so that we can start doing things that are blog worthy. And what I say goes, right? We'll see.

I never thought I'd see the day...
As hard as it is for me to admit it, I have just got to do it.I am a
Yep, gag...that's right...a Snuggie.
The Robster gifted it to me (cuz he ♥'s me), and got himself one in blue. I couldn't bring myself to don it though. I tried to fight it for several days, but Rob kept wearing his and he looked so dang warm, while I was just freezing. Finally the other day he got sick of hearing me whine about being cold so he pulled my pink Snuggie out of the box and wrapped it around me.
No, surprisingly, my flesh didn't burn at the touch. It actually would have purred if it could. Since that moment we've been nearly inseparable, and I don't see our relationship ending any time soon. I just wish he would've gone with something other than pink. ☺

A night of Science(fiction??)
Earlier this week Rob and I went to check out Bodies...The Exhibition. I was super excited to go, and Rob was a little icked out by the idea of it, but agreed to go anyways.Since it's right up my field of study, I found the exhibit to be extremely interesting. Rob on the other hand, couldn't wait to get out of there! Since it was still fairly early in the evening, we thought we'd see a movie and grab a quick bite.

I figured since Rob had been such a good sport to tag along with me to see Bodies, I would give in and go see whatever movie he chose...which of course meant that it would be something I probably wouldn't choose on my own. ☺ He didn't let me down. He wanted to see The Fourth Kind. Going into it, I had no idea what it was supposed to be about, so I was completely on edge. It ended up not being as scary as I thought it would be, but it definitely isn't something I'll be seeing again! I am not completely sold on the idea that the story is true, but who am I to say?

Never thought I'd see the day
At this rate, we'll be doing holiday photos with our pets wearing Santa hats. Don't worry, I won't let it go that far. I've got to put a stop to all this nonsense!! ☺ Friday, September 18, 2009
This week...
My mane got a big chop last night. It makes me a little sad.Oh, and I got walked in on by my boss while taking pictures of my new do. He laughed at me. Charming guy he is. :)
On a more positive note...we are heading off to Sin City this weekend to meet up with some friends and family and we are so stinkin' excited!! Tuesday, July 28, 2009
We're Melting

We had a great table *bonus point* that gave us a perfect view of the beach *another bonus point*. Since it was our first time there they gave us some yummy appetizers on the house *that deserves two more bonus points* and the dinner was delish *yep, another bonus point*, so all in all, looks like Cactus has made it was into our regular rotation of restaurants.
We decided to head back home around 9:30, certain that our place would have cooled down to a much more tolerable temperature by then. We walked in the door and felt like we were hit by a heatwave. Ugh!

I FINALLY get it
On a nearly bi-weekly basis for the past eight plus years I have dragged Rob from store to store where I expect him to flip through racks of clothes with me, give his opinion, then critique each and every piece that I try on and carry it for me once it's been purchased. And get this...he says he doesn't really like it. Shocker, I know! It's taken years for me to catch on, but last night it really sunk in: shopping isn't fun if you aren't the one doing the shopping.
I'd agreed to accompany Rob while he bought some new suits. It was fun for the first seven and a half minutes...maybe, but then I was done. There wasn't any girl clothing to look at, just suits and ties and shirts and dress shoes and cuff links. Boring! After what seemed like days (it was really just a couple of hours) Rob had selected his suits, gotten fitted for them and paid. I thought I was on the verge of death by boredom.
I now have a new appreciation for all the tolerance he shows when
I should point out that it wasn't a total bust...I did get to see His Handsomeness is some mighty sharp suits, and he did buy me some earrings! Of course, in true Rob fashion, we ended the evening with breakfast-for-dinner at IHOP.

Smelly
I walked in this morning to the stink of all stinks! It was SO bad!! After pulling my entire office apart, I found the culprit...leftover olives from my lunch...on MONDAY!
I had sampled a mix of olives from the deli olive bar. The ones that didn't go over so well were the ones stuffed with feta, which I chose not to eat. They tasted yucky, and apparently smell even worse after sitting around for a few days. I know that I chucked them into the bin, so I have absolutely NO IDEA how they ended up stuck between my desk and the wall. Makes me wonder what the janitor does in my office after hours.Rotten olives are now outside in the dumpster and my office is back on it's way to smelling as it should...or at least on it's way back there.

Just my luck

Really, what were they even doing there!?! I have absolutely no idea and neither did Rob. Oh well, now I have two pairs. :)

Search Party
I cannot locate my glasses. I think I lost them when we moved. Yes, that was over six months ago. I thought I would come across them someday when I wasn’t really looking for them. Funny, but it hasn’t happened yet. I finally decided to buy a new pair but my eye doc won’t give me my prescription…says I need an exam first. What a racket this eye game is! Maybe I will just keep looking for my glasses…I never wear them anyways. Oh, boo.
***Sidenote: Blogger spellcheck is total garbage!!!***

Feeling like a teenager again
I told Rob I felt like a unicorn. Instead of reassuring me, he laughed. Guess it really is that bad. I am traumatized. Do Dermatologists make office visits? I am too horrified to step out of mine.
Happy Monday.

What's with all of the NOISE!?!
