Cannon Beach

Rob and I just got back from a long weekend down to Cannon Beach, OR. It rained a lot in the beginning so we lounged around and did some shopping. Sunday finally brought some sun and we got to put in some beach time. It was sunny, but freezing cold!!

The most notable 'attraction' in Cannon Beach is Haystack Rock. We set out to see it, but the cold kept us from heading all the way out. I cheated and just zoomed in so it looked as if we had seen it a little closer up. Lazy, I know. But really, it was freezing! We didn't think ahead enough to actually dress for the weather we were having. A little more beach play and we were racing back to the warm car.

In all of the shopping we did, I never managed to buy a souvenir. I mentioned it to Rob and he didn't see too concerned about it. Turns out he brought home a souvenir of his own...the TV remote from our hotel room. Apparently it fell into his laptop bag. Oops!

Don't worry I am mailing it back to them this morning. :) Good trip overall, much needed! I am back to school tomorrow...

Feeling Crabby

With the quarter having just ended I was faced with a wide open weekend. Weekends have consisted of homework for so long that I forgot what a free weekend was like! We lounged around during the day and then headed out for a scrumptious dinner of crab legs at our favorite seafood joint, The Crabpot. Yum, yum...just what we needed.

Following dinner we went and saw Sunshine Cleaning. The previews looked so good, but the movie just didn't live up to our expectations. There were still a few good laughs to be had.

A late night visit to Alki Beach and then we called it a night. Our Sunday will consist of more lounging around, Krispy Kreme and some Big Love (the season finale!!!).

We are...

Yep, that's right...boring! We haven't been up to anything blog worthy at all. It's all work and school for the both of us. In our downtime we eat take out and catch up on the Millionaire Matchmaker if we are lucky.

How is that for quality time together? I know you're all dying to switch places with us, right? I have a week break before Spring quarter starts and Rob has six weeks left in his Masters program. We are trying to fit a vacation in somewhere..we'll see how that goes.
